Introduction
Our dreams are vast, complex, intuitive communications about ourselves and our life experiences that can be used to create awareness and heal. That is where the concept of Dream Healing comes from, accessing our intuition through the realm of dreams to build a greater subconscious understanding of ourselves, which is the part of our brain where most of our healing occurs.
Dream Healing allows us to take on our healing layer by layer through processing it in our sleep and widen that awareness into our conscious mind so we can gather more benefits from the lessons learned in our daily lives. It allows us to control the pace of our healing and most of all, it allows us to be our own expert and guru at the helm of our own healing, no outside opinions necessary.
Dream Healing is a tool that is fully accessible to us that affirms our own power and birthright to heal. It allows us to pick up our work by ourselves with the information we garner from our own internal knowing and get the most out of our healing on a consistent, daily basis.
At the same time it bridges our conscious mind’s connection to our intuition which is housed in our subconscious mind and activates our intuitive sense for use in our daily lives. And it naturally directs us to look to the cycles of astrology that govern our lives energetically by noticing how our dreams intensify and shift as the moon cycles and retrogrades occur.
Through this system, your own healing and self-understanding are freely available and paced by you, the expert of your own mind and feelings, while also guiding you to build an intuitive life for yourself from the inside out.
Dreaming at its base is the mental activity that happens in sleep. It is a physiological function and we all dream nightly, even if we don’t remember it. Some of us have more developed capacities to remember dreams than others, but like any other part of the brain or muscle in the body, if you start practicing from where you are, your capacity will grow. This is where we begin.
Start with what you do remember– even just a snippet, an image, or a flash of feeling or memory from the night before. Turn towards it, welcome it in, decipher it for yourself, what does it feel like, that’s the key. The more you do this, the more your brain will activate its capacity to remember your dreams and the more neurons you will build in this direction. Where attention goes, energy flows, energy that builds and grows – so give it your attention each morning and you will build a real connection to your dreams bit by bit.
Prioritize time first thing in the morning upon opening your eyes to resolve the threads of the night before. Then move on with your day. In doing this, we are making space for something we ordinarily would zoom past and easily forget before we even think to look to it for vital information. Once we are awake and moving, the dream will dissolve if we do not anchor it in writing. Make time for your dreams, and your dreams will start to respond to you.
Part 1
Dream Healing: How To Do it
Section A – Recording the Dream Details
There are two parts to Dream Healing: Recording the Dream Details and Analysis. For Section A, we will go over the way to intuitively and structurally record dream details and initial feelings so that there is a story line for us to follow and sense from during the Analysis portion, which we will go over in Section B.
When you remember a dream write it down either in a notebook or in your phone’s notes app before waking all the way or even getting out of bed.
Allow your dream to take the shape of a story on the page from the illogical and amorphous storage of your sleeping mind. The rest will flow as it’s supposed to when you begin to look at it in story format as a sequence of events regardless of the logicalness of that sequence.
Do your best to put words to what you see in your memory even if there are gaps or it doesn’t make logical sense.
Use poetic license to describe what you see – if a word or phrase resonates but doesn’t exactly fit, use it. Your brain is conjuring it based on it’s own understanding and feelings and that’s what we want to focus on most.
You may be surprised what words, feelings, responses are conjured through the process of writing down the dream. At first you may not think you remember or that the dream means anything at all but as you write, a sentence will appear that will surprise you or the pieces will start to come together in a way you did not see at first.
You never know what details will make sense once the entire thing is recorded and the most important part when recording your dream is that you are following your intuitive sense of it. I often find if I write down the bones of a dream from what I can remember, that my intuitive sense and memory can fill in the rest enough so that I can do a proper analysis of the themes behind it.
Dreaming is highly illogical and that’s one of the reasons why we get such insightful information from it, it bypasses the logical, rigid traps of our mind to show us what we might not otherwise see, so you want to honor that nature. There is a secret order to it underneath and that is what we want to learn how to decipher for ourselves.
And remember, the best way to do anything is to start – you will find the way that suits you best as you practice doing it. Below is a framework to get started but as dreaming is highly personal, you can modify or include anything that makes sense to you. Keep welcoming your intuitive sense of direction, even down to how you want to practice Dream Healing for yourself.

Dream Recording Framework
When writing a dream, you can focus on recording it in the following way: setting the scene, writing about the events, writing about the people, identifying initial feelings. These four elements make up the Dream Details and we will learn the manner in which to record them below.
- Setting the Scene:
Start with the setting of each scene and set the stage for the rest of what you are about to describe. Focus inward on your feelings and allow your intuitive sense to guide you. Describe it as you see and understand it in the best terms you know how.
Include any details such as setting description, colors, symbols, specific feelings tied to that aspect of the dream, and any odd descriptions that might only make sense in your dreams. Describe these all in depth to the best of your memory. Make sure to place them in sequence as they come up so you understand what they relate to, especially as you fill in more details later.
If your dream takes place in multiple scenes, begin each sequence of the dream with the scene description then move onto the rest. Your dream will begin to take shape as a story in this way.
Use descriptive, short-hand narrative phrases that make sense to you e.g. “my childhood bedroom on Mulberry St” or “my high school bedroom” if that designates a different time in your life in the same place. Think about what these descriptions are speaking of in regard to that time of your life and the dynamics at play.
You can also write something along the lines of “A place that reminds me of the hardware store in the town I grew up in but different.” That’s enough to jog your dream location to your waking consciousness. You can go on to describe how it was different, “it was colder, less warm colored” or “it reminded me of a prison for some reason” and then go on to dissect why that might be. Your intuitive sense will know, it picked this setting to draw up those feelings. Maybe it will remind you of the time you got punished while at the hardware store. Or maybe you felt trapped on an endless string of errands and it reminds you of often being ignored as a child or maybe something entirely different.
These types of settings can eventually become a lingo for you that fills in the meanings of your custom dream dictionary e.g. “High School bedroom setting I know often means a place where I feel my boundaries are violated and I’m being held back. There’s something wrong here in this time and place in my life.” So whatever the dream brings in specifics, you know you have this foundation of something not being right when that room appears and then you can connect the dots on themes that might be at play.
These are very specific examples to give you an idea of the kind of license you have with language as well as with analysis in creating your own meanings. You are describing this from you, for you, the most important part is that it makes sense to you and matches with what you’re feeling.
Scene Set up Example:
There were brown rocky cliffs like an outcrop over an ocean
But there was no ocean
It was dried up 1,000,000 years ago (Something your dream self just knows)
The place felt distant and eerie, desert like
I didn’t like being there and the air was dry and I kept coughing
There was a spider hanging from chandelier in the middle of the room (not a room but that’s how the dream is telling me to describe it)
Light was glinting off of it like a thousand yellow diamonds
This brought up the deepest feeling of loneliness but also a sense of hope that this could someday be better
Someday but not yet, I just don’t know how yet, I feel I am searching for it
Scene Set up Example Two:
I’m on my childhood street
It’s green like it always is and the trees are lining it and blowing in the wind
I feel a deep sense of calm being here, I wish I could be here forever, I wish I had never left
I’m at the mailbox by the road but the road is not my road
It winds off into the distance in a way I can’t see
Dispersing itself into a bed of sand like the ocean
I feel a sense of longing of having been here before
- Events:
Once the scene is set, write each event in the scene as an individual sequence by jotting down lines of events in short hand so that you can go back and fill in more details later. Sometimes it helps to have the bones of the dream written down in order to recover more memory of it later.
Start filling out the details of the events in sequence as they occurred. Do your best to capture the illogical nature of dream events as the goal is for it to make sense later under a larger theme.
I often find myself thinking an innocuous seeming detail couldn’t possibly be important but I write it down anyway and then find it to be a key point later on that ties the scenes together.
The same goes for innocuous seeming dreams, those often hold the most information and growth potential. We often think they seem meaningless because part of us wants to skate by and keep the status quo while pretending this isn’t the key to massive change and potential. That part of your brain wants stasis and safety, but you know better and want change, so you dig in where it tells you not to. We can’t know what a dream truly holds or what our intuition will guide us to until we dig into it, so don’t discount anything, even the smallest seeming details.
You might find yourself writing in scenes of part 1 and part 2, especially if you wake up and go back to sleep and continue your dream. Label them as makes sense to you so you can keep track of what’s going on.
Events Example:
Part 1
I woke up and Jamie was standing over me
She had a funny look on her face
It reminded me of when I was in school and my teacher was worried
There was a cat on the bed, it got up and walked up to her but ignored me
It was black, like my cat Sirius, it reminded me of him but it didn’t look like him
It made me feel funny, eerie sort of to see him again in this location where he doesn’t belong and I felt like I had to protect him
Part 2
I woke up again, this time in a brown recliner
It reminded me of the one Dad slept in but I knew I was supposed to be rocking my daughter in it
I couldn’t find her anywhere
But I wasn’t afraid, just searching for her
Events Example 2:
After I put away all the clothes in the room I knew I had to do something
I don’t know what it is – this part is lost to me (example of gaps in memory, might fill itself in later though)
Anyway I walked outside barefoot in the grass, it was summer here even though I knew somewhere in my mind it was actually winter
I felt acorns under my feet and questioned that too being out of season
Again I am out of place, something doesn’t belong here (example of a commonly occurring theme in a dream and how we can use these as our own dictionary to relate to our lives)
- People:
Identify who’s involved in each sequence of the dream. They may be people from the past who you feel you have no connection to anymore but represent your feelings around them from that time, they may be someone you have relationship with now, or they may even be strangers to you. The important part is to note how they made you feel so you can identify what they may represent. Strangers in a dream could represent authority figures as a whole or perhaps fear of judgment or belittlement in public opinion, these are just two examples of why it’s important to identify how you felt about each figure in the dream.
A person we know may already have an identifiable dynamic with you or perhaps they represent something to you in life but were acting different in the dream to show you your own insecurities or perhaps were acting as a mirror to your treatment of yourself. These are all possibilities in an infinite range of options.
Ask yourself some of the following questions:
Where are they?
What they are doing? What is your sense of them in the dream?
How did you feel about them?
Do they remind you of anything or any one specific?
Is there a certain theme or feeling tied to them?
How are they behaving and who are they to you in the dream?
Is there anything odd or notable about them?
Make sure to include general senses as well, not just hard facts, especially in the relational areas of dreams things are not as cut and dry as an outward symbol and it’s important to explore any hunches or undercurrents that are present.
People Example:
My best friend Taylor was in the dream
She was loving and hugging how she always was but I couldn’t reach her
She was distant like she couldn’t see me
I kept shouting to her but she didn’t see me and felt she was looking through me
It made me feel really uneasy and uncertain like do I even exist, for this person I love so much to not even be able to reach me
I can tell the problem is not on her end, she’s being her loving self
I can tell these feelings exist within me
It brings up a sense of abandonment and unworthiness, like I don’t have a right to exist
This would be an example of one scene or sequence in a dream. The ending conclusion is something to keep in mind when reading the other scenes of the dream and see if it’s built upon further or exists in another form along the way. It’s clearly a deep-rooted theme that will probably have more to tell you and more connections to make.
It is worth including what a person may represent to you and how you feel about them in real life as well. Identifying this person’s role in your dream can lead to another entry in your custom dream dictionary. Your brain may begin to use them repeatedly as a symbol of what you associate them with and then you can easily identify their symbol when they appear in a dream and also take into account the particular nuance of this dream in relation to the reoccurring theme, making a connection you might not otherwise see. In the example below, you can identify the librarian as a potential reoccurring theme or at least look for someone else who represents the concluding theme in other dreams.
People Example 2:
Mary K was the librarian at my elementary school
In this dream she was shelving books in my room and saying tsk tsk
It felt very vulnerable like she was shaming just me, not anyone else
She always had a very unforgiving nature towards children and I often felt unease around her like I’d done something wrong even if I hadn’t
I guess that would identify a sense of misplaced guilt based on other people’s expectations of me
And I see the real problem with that is that I usually feel I need to betray myself in some way to please them or keep them from being mad at me
This reminds me of the dynamic in my childhood with my mom that I’ve been working on in therapy
How I always felt I had to please her and how that’s affecting me now as an adult struggling to make the life choices I want to make without her approval
Another question to consider when it comes to reading people in our dreams is, did they feel as if they were a symbol of your brain’s making or did they feel quite real and physical in the dream as if their presence was really there? A topic we will cover later is visitors in dream, it is possible that their soul came to visit you in the dream to help you. This is usually a very distinct feeling and knowing that we will address further.
- Feelings
Feelings are the most important measure of our dream and our window into true analysis. This is how we use our dreams to understand ourselves in only the way that we can. Whatever the symbols, people, or events in the dream, it is how we feel about them that determines what they truly mean to us and what the dream is telling us.
A blackbird in an online dream dictionary might be a symbol of death but to you it might be a comfort, a partner in grief, a symbol of family and camaraderie, a reminder of your childhood home, or so many more endless options. It can truly mean anything as vast and individual as your own mind and experiences. This is why it is important to identify the feelings in each part of the dream because they will show you your unique meaning.
From identifying the feelings that stand out we are able to summarize and draw connections to experiences, patterns, and meanings we might not otherwise see. These connections of feelings are how we create a meaningful story from an otherwise illogical dream sequence.
Earlier when you were recording the details of your dream you probably identified some feelings that stood out to you most strongly as you were writing. Those can be viewed as specific messages like a symbol or a clue in the dream and can be used as a starting point to delve deeper into the feeling journey this dream is showing us.
Through this process of drawing up and paying attention to our feelings in our subconscious, we are actually getting the chance to process in the present and complete old feelings in the body helping to re-process and integrate events that have been lingering as incomplete, or even as repeat traumatic patterns, since they happened. This acts as a form of daily, manageable re-processing that allows us to genuinely heal our own minds and move forward in our lives in changed ways.
Now we are going to focus on feelings more deeply and let them lead us to a conclusion. This is where it’s particularly important to turn inward and write as you feel, letting intuition take over, letting go of the logical, and letting stream of consciousness flow. This is where the meaning of the dream comes to show us what it truly represents and where we can resolve our feelings and obtain our healing.
Once you’ve finished recording all the scenes and details of the dream, begin to write beneath each one the general sense of how it felt and what those feelings remind you of. This is the beginning of your analysis. Write how it felt even if it doesn’t make sense. The goal here is to tap into the intuitive undercurrent for each scene of the dream, establishing pieces of meaning that will come together later to make a whole story. Once you have an initial analysis of how each scene made you feel you may notice how they join together into a whole generalized sense or theme.
Underneath each scene give yourself a couple of lines to summarize how that particular scene felt for you. Focus on strong emotions first and let them lead you through a series of questions that help you unfold the story.
What does that feeling remind you of?
Were there any other times in your life that you felt this way?
Is this a pattern of feeling or experience that comes up under certain circumstances?
What is this dream potentially showing you about this pattern that you’re not seeing in waking life? What do you feel it wants you to know?
Did the experience that caused the emotion remind you of any time in your past or specifically from childhood?
However you approach it, you can’t go wrong. This is your dream, your feelings that you are learning to read and your intuition guiding you, you just need to let go and be honest with yourself to get the full value of what the dream has to impart to you.
For an example of how to record your feelings, look to the notes at the end of each scene in the entirety of the dream recording in Section C.

Section B – Analysis
To analyze your dream and complete any feelings it may have brought up for you, you will need to focus inward on your feelings and your sense of what it’s trying to tell you and let that guide you to your own personal meanings.
Place a line underneath your recorded details and feelings, then label the next part “Analysis” so you have some separation as you begin to flow in your writing. While the recorded details needed to be in sequential order, the analysis can go all over the place and take up full paragraphs.
Often times a dream will leave us with a hangover of feelings, it helps to start with the strongest one and go from there. When you complete your feelings summary from the recording part of your work, you may already see a theme forming, or you can choose the strongest feeling place to start.
In the same intuitive stream of consciousness that you allowed your dream details to be written in, write down the feelings that stand out to you from your initial analysis and begin to explore them more deeply. Let this part of the analysis take you along and show you it’s meaning like you are watching a movie in your mind. Write down anything that comes up even if it is illogical or hard to describe. Use the poetic license from earlier, the complete picture is often what makes the dream meaning drive home and we want to process whatever stored information is coming up as the body recognizes it and as the subconscious has stored it, so allow yourself to be heard in full messiness and confusion for a few minutes while you practice this. In other words, don’t self edit, keep flowing and trusting the process and your abilities.
Sometimes you will just know what subject a dream is speaking to even if the aspects of the dream don’t immediately connect there. Make sure to include these intuitive feelings. Any bursts of insight or genius, no matter how unrelated seeming are important. We are tapping into a nonlinear part of ourselves that is trying to communicate and we are training our conscious mind to decipher its language.
Let your first round of feelings and intuition flow and take you where it wants to go. This may lead you all the way to a feeling of completeness and a decipherable meaning or it may come to an end with more left to look at.
If you feel there is more left to explore, now that you have your first round of analysis down and are swimming in that energy, you can take your analysis deeper by going back over each scene or sequence from your dream detail recording, filling in more details, letting the scenes and their individual meanings speak to you from this new energy and show you what you might have not seen the first time around, hopefully pulling together a common story. It may be helpful to go through this process anywhere from 1-4 times depending on the length and intensity of the dream. Keep revisiting your previous writing and seeing how it changes in light of new information.
The singular, most important part of all of this is to trust yourself and trust your feelings. Only you can decipher your dreams truly, only you know their meanings, you don’t need to seek outside sources for help, you are your own dream dictionary as you are most connected to you and know yourself the best, even if you question that. The truth is that you are the only person with a direct line to your Spirit and you are learning how to listen to it. Have faith in your ability to do this and trust what comes up and the connection will grow.
Sometimes if a dream’s analysis is really stumping me and I’m left with an unsettled energy, going over the dream with a trusted person helps me happen upon the meaning. As I’m describing what happened, including the senses of feeling I did get, I will often hear myself connect the dots and say the answer out loud that I’m missing from my writing as I’m talking to my person. This is a helpful way to encourage yourself into flow. You are still relying on your own internal sense of intuition but external processing and a supportive presence can loosen things up and introduce unexpected insight. I find it important to get my details in order before I share with another person – it is important to receive your dream and your feelings before opening them for another’s influence.
In Section C, you will read a full example of analysis that will show you how the recorder comes to completion and healing through flow.
Here are some examples of questions to consider and ask yourself as you are analyzing your dream:
How did the dream make you feel?
What emotions come to mind and what do they remind you of or relate to?
Were there specific scenes or imagery that was more impactful and lasting?
Was there an overall theme you are sensing?
Is there another time, situation, or dynamic from your past in which you also felt this way?
Is there a time in childhood or situation from your early family life that might have ties to these feelings?
Can you see how this dream might be symbolizing this theme in your life over time?
What are some themes in your current waking life that are coming up for questioning right now?
Have there been any events, strong emotions, or situations that might need reconciliation?
Do these have ties into patterns in your life, feelings, or behaviors that you’ve noticed or might be able to identify through this dream?
What are some themes in the astrology that are present?
Are there any Mercury, Venus, or Mars retrogrades or Moon activity?
Some themes I’ve noticed in my dream healing over the years are:
Healing particularly around family dynamics
Ways I was made to feel about myself that were not accurate
Patterns of treatment I received
Patterns of behavior in myself
Areas my power was in need of retrieval
Needs that weren’t met previously teaching me about what they need to heal now
Events from childhood that hold strong meaning that are pushing me towards change in the present
Soul guides coming to speak to me (passed on loved ones, past relationships and friends)
Past life events and themes giving me information about a pattern in my present
Direct messages
Actions I want to take
All of these hold themes to the past, they probably arise from a conflict in my current life but I always deal with them on the deeper level to release them entirely

Section C – Full Dream Recording Example
Here is an example of a Full Dream Recording and Analysis:
Scene 1
I’m out on my childhood street again
The houses are all taller than they used to be like they’re stretching towards the sky
The sky is gray and threateningly cloudy like a storm is about to hit any second
I look around and see no one around
It is both thrilling and scary feeling like I don’t know what will happen and no body is there to help me
–Feelings recording for scene 1:This part reminds me of feeling lost and alone as a child, like I’m looking for someone to help me as the storm approaches
It distinctly reminds me of the time between when I was 5 and 8 years old
Eventually I realize no one is coming to help me, and I’m on my own and a part of me does begin to find that exhilarating and freeing
Scene 2
Back in the grocery store I keep returning to even though it is one I’ve never seen in real life
This location keeps cropping up when there is uncertainty in my life and I don’t feel supported, like I need to make a different move to change things
Anyway, I’m shopping down the aisles, particularly the freezer aisle and I stop, there’s a frog in the middle of the road, I just act like it’s completely normal even though this is bizarre and I don’t know what it means, I just want to skate past it quickly and not be bothered
I continue on to check out, I feel more secure once I’ve paid and am leaving with my groceries and have spoken to the check out person
This scene reminds me of a sort of in between period where I’m trying to figure it out
–Feelings recording for scene 2: Grocery stores are always a comfort to me, somewhere to get your needs met but this one feels like it’s trying me, particularly the frog I’m trying to avoid, it’s so stoic, like it doesn’t even care that I’m there or what I think or that I’m bigger than it
I sense this is about more than the frog
I feel challenged, pushed and it isn’t until I’m leaving the store with what I need, having spoken to and been acknowledged and helped by another person that my security has returned
I can see how this may have to do with my mother’s control of my life and neglect of my true wants
The frog is unmoving, the frog is a challenge to me, will you really stand up for yourself against it or will you keep avoiding it?
I don’t know if I will but I do feel like having the help and acknowledgment of the check out person and leaving with my needs for recognition actually being met is a huge step forward
Scene 3
Now I’m out on the sea I don’t know why
It’s sort of like a sea of trash and old cars and mess and again its stormy but this time I’m not scared at all
I’m out here cause I want to be
The dream tells me I’m an adventurer meant to be here – those are the specific words I’m told by someone in the dream
I sail my makeshift raft with a mast and sail easily over this rolling sea of trash, I don’t even have a single problem I feel like I am gliding, free, easy, alive
I don’t remember how this ends but the next thing I know I’m on an island and it is sunny and warm, I’ve landed where I need to be, this much I know
No more storms, I feel right, grounded, home, here
–Feelings recording for scene 3: I think this is the part of the dream where I’ve found my way, I’ve been out on the sea and seen all that life has to offer, even the ugly and difficult like the trash and old beat up cars, I’m coasting over it cause I know something is guiding me, my courage, my confidence, my sense of purpose
I am definitively older than I am in the other two parts of the dream, maybe late twenties, I’ve been through a few ups and downs on my own and I know the way through now
Scene 4
Bits and pieces of this dream keep coming back to me but I will write what stands out
I know I’m having a conversation with my mom
I know we’re standing in our old kitchen
She’s saying something like she doesn’t know why I… and then it trails off
I don’t even hear her or don’t remember, it just becomes a blur
I decide not to listen anymore I turn my attention inward
Inward I am happy, inward I am safe, the next thing I know I’m at the door, my back is to my mom and it’s almost like she supports me doing this, like this is what she wanted to see all along was me stepping out and choosing my way, turning my back on her criticisms
I feel empowered for the first time
I’m leaving this bubble I used to live in with her, that I’ve carried along with me into my adult life
I’ve made the decision to eradicate myself and it’s because I’ve chosen my own way
–Feelings recording for scene 4: I can see how what my mom is saying to me is not important, I shouldn’t be listening or letting it cycle in my head
It’s clear that it is in judgment, control
Instead I listen to myself and I find myself unconsciously, almost naturally turning away towards the door, stepping through it onto my own path, my own way
This almost instills a respect in her for me, as it also fills me with a sense of self-respect
I realize that this is where it needs to come from
Walk away from the criticisms/shame/judgment/abuse
Choose myself and go on my way
_________ (draw a line to separate recording details)
Analysis
Feelings of abandonment are common in this dream
Feelings of abandonment, isolation, aloneness, being ignored
I’m also seeing a correlation with my mother’s control of me
Like I’ve given into her boundary pushes and breaks as a way of having her love me even though it’s not really love
As a way of having her attention, in hopes that she’ll be pleased with me, that she’ll actually see me
I did this to gain her approval as a child
I see that this is self-betrayal now
I see that this is perpetuated by no one other than me
All my life I felt she had this control over me and for a time as a child, she did
But now I’ve been going on autopilot as if that control still stands
I didn’t know any better then and I’ve been so grooved in the patterns that I’ve handed over the reigns of my own judgment, my own desires to her where I should’ve held onto them and navigated for myself
I see how this activates her sense of calm and respect for my boundaries when I learn to have self respect for my wishes and boundaries first
I set the tone of the energy that is reflected back to me here
I’m the first person to betray myself, to give myself over for love, from a wound that’s been unhealed
And then from there it seems like it’s others who have the control and take advantage of me
But I’m the one that cleared the way for them to do so
I’m as much complicit but I am also the one who can change this
This is where my power lies and this is how I give it away
For love
I know better now as an adult, after what I’ve been through, how to get real, healthy love
This is an old hold out of a feeling that no longer has any use
And I realize I hold all the power I thought I didn’t have
It helps me to recognize to myself, my mother never loved me properly
She often used me to satisfy her own need, for control, and to live her life through me
She passed judgment on what I wanted that differed from her wants
I feel grief over this
It left me alone and on my own for much of my life experiences
I have always felt aloneness and now I see how my aloneness and my self-sacrifice are the same, I am the first person to abandon me
I needed her to be there for me
I needed her to see me
To listen to me and to help me
But it never happened
This I need to grieve
But the truly exciting part, the truly freeing part is that I now see how this operates
I see how this is entirely in my control
And I see how I’ve already grown out of the position of her control a lot over the years and this is just an old holdover feeling I don’t need to give into any more
I want to recognize this going forward and I want to do different for myself
I want to choose myself like I did in the dream and be able to make the decision to walk away
Help me see when I have the opportunity to do this, help me know exactly what to do and give me the courage to do it (speaking to the subconscious self as well as the higher self/Soul to keep an eye out and ping you when there is a real life chance for growth and to break this cycle, especially after you’re clearing out the emotional energy here through processing dream feelings, this makes it easier to change the dynamic in real life.)
I see that I am already a skilled captain of my own life and that this is the exact formula to land me on the sunny island where I want to be where I feel right and know I am supposed to be
And what’s stopping me is a holdover fear from my childhood that I know won’t affect my mom’s love for me
It will only grow love and respect from the inside out because I’m finally having it for myself and that is what the world will mirror and reflect back to me
I’m so proud of how far I’ve come
I’m going to take the day to grieve the parts of loneliness and loss of care that should have always been there for me
I want to heal this
I want to feel this
I open space for this grief until it resolves and releases me from the fear it holds

Dream Conclusions
The Healing Process
Now that you’ve read through an entire dream analysis, you can see how seemingly obscure and bizarre happenings can contribute to an over all feeling of the dream and lead to some amazing connections that bring massive healing.
In this dream we see the dream recorder move from feeling like they were a child lost in the storm alone and in need but also realizing the flip side of that is that they are free to make their own choices. In the next scene they are in a grocery store, a place associated with home and comfort and they are being challenged by a rogue frog in the freezer aisle.
It isn’t until they are safely through the grocery buying process where someone else has acknowledged their needs that they begin to feel a bit of security return from the stand off in the freezer aisle. Then they are a captain on a sea of difficult to navigate trash representing difficult life events and emotions. They have learned to navigate well and sail safely to a place they are meant to be. They are older here and have a sense of confidence about them.
The last scene shows a direct interaction with their mother in the heart of their home, the kitchen (also related to food, grocery). The mother’s words are finally drowned out once they are realized to be critical in nature. The recorder turns inward and claims themselves by walking out the door, walking away and not listening.
A part of them knows their mother’s speech is only about herself and her own need to externalize and so instead of taking it they set a boundary by distancing themselves and it actually grows respect in their mother’s eyes. This is a direct message from the Self giving instruction on the actions to take to overcome this dynamic of insecurity that they have carried through childhood into adulthood.
The dream shows us how far they’ve already come to be the navigator of their own life and their only foil left is their mother directly, the source of this dynamic. And the dream self gives them the answer: choose yourself by listening inside and not listening to her words, set the boundary by walking away, all will be well.
This may seem like the recorder is in full responsibility for the scenario between their mother and themselves but they are not, the dynamic was created by the adults in their lives when they were vulnerable. As an adult in the present, they are fully responsible to change the dynamic if they wish to change their own lives and their dream self is helping them find the way to reclaim their power.
If they enact this formula given in the dream in the moment the pattern is happening in real life, it will be life changing for them. Often the Soul Self is messaging us through our subconscious to give us the hidden information and exact instructions needed at this moment of evolution. And it can be as simple as a change in perspective of a long worn pattern for us to operate differently and change the dynamic around us from within.
The analysis takes us through some deep-seated issues that have persisted from childhood through adulthood. They realize after recording their dream and all the feelings involved, that they have built a story from their past versions of self into their present and even future. They are able to identify the source of their problem in a customized way that pulls up these dynamics from where they are stored in the subconscious to be examined in a present light.
And in doing so, they are actually dredging up the old stored emotions in the body from the original time of trauma and giving them the chance in present time to complete themselves through grief where they didn’t have the chance in the past due to the immature development of their body and brain. This is massively healing and is where dynamics truly change.
Then from a new place of energy, healing and perspective, the recorder now able to understand and see the dynamic as an adult, realizes how it can change, and where their power has been undercut by their own patterns all along, allowing for a relatively simple change in behavior or energy to act as a humongous healing that reverberates through their whole life. This is what people are talking about when they speak of ascension, evolution, healing, and what they mean when they say our energy creates our reality. It is not a hands off process but it can be 90% internal to create real physical change that up-levels our existence, frequency of energy, and sense of self worth and empowerment in a permanent way.
The recorder holds space for their grief in present time, they vow to do differently going forward, they acknowledge their place in the dynamic which releases their sense of victimhood while finally maintaining proper accountability of the parent who has failed them, another form of healing that is very cerebral to finally admit reality.
This dream is not over and done in a day but it is completed. The feelings are completed and the path forward is laid out. The dream recorder is changed energetically removing the blockade of traumatized energy stored as emotion in the nervous system and belief programming int he subconscious that once held them back from seeing things clearly or standing up for themselves. Now when they walk their path forward in real life, they will see different options and come to different conclusions and be emboldened to take different actions that align with their new energy.

Healing Outcomes
We see here how a seemingly obscure series of events from a dream when analyzed from a place of feeling and intuition inside the self concludes into a massive healing and understanding for the dream recorder that can have far reaching influences.
They now have updated their version of themselves from a childhood self who was powerless and abandoned to a present adult version who is already the master of their own life and their behaviors will reflect that recovery of power and self going forward.
This is how our dreams can heal and change our reality. This is how they are a major form of important communication from our most sacred center of self, our vulnerable inner child all the way to our present adult self who can truly help us. Imagine what this process when done on a nightly or even weekly basis can do to change your life and help your growth and healing.
This analysis all blooms from the initial feeling of aloneness, which could have been brought up and ignored as an uncomfortable reality. When we are willing to turn toward our own feelings that are being dredged up for healing through our dreams, they will show us what they are about and what they need.
As is done in waking life, our subconscious will keep repeating patterns that hurt us in dreams in order to finally gain healing for them. Only now we are able to receive our healing through our dreams more directly and be empowered to move forward more quickly without the painful life drama and in a safer practice space that prepares us for the changes in life we need to make.
Notice how the analysis is very careful not to go into the mother’s experience, make excuses or try to understand her. It may help to do this to some degree in order to satisfy a why that lives within us but it is also tempting to ruminate on why people behaved as they did in hopes that we can change them or what happened. That is why the dream simple states what the mother did and focuses on the effect of it on the recorder. This is your dream and this is your healing. Much like it would be in a therapist’s office, you are the center of the story and you are allowed to advocate only for you. There is a way to admit the truth of what happened and grieve it without re-victimizing yourself by focusing only on you and acknowledging how you feel with meaningful attention.
While the recorder is not at fault for what happened to them as a child and the subsequent ways it affected them, they are taking responsibility for changing the way they behave because they want to change their lives.
Ultimately as adults they are the only one who can affect them or hold them back anymore over this issue. Once our subconscious self is formed by age 12, most of the way we experience life as painful or bad is repeating patterns from our subconscious mind that has come to expect certain experiences. Additional experiences that deeply form or traumatize us are filtered through this lens. A helpful statement to remember when healing past trauma in the present is that what we are afraid of already happened.
By making the dream and the feelings it brings up conscious in our mind, we are bravely and boldly choosing to release the victimhood these patterns have placed in us through awareness. We still hold space for accountability to be placed properly on those who have affected us but we are also empowered by taking our ability to change and affect our lives back into our own hands.
Now the first part of your dream work is done, you’ve recorded the dream in full which is an accomplishment in itself as it takes a lot of honesty and self reflection to do so. You have a complete dream in front of you, it’s not going to slip away and you can choose to work with it for as long as you wish.
Once I’ve established and analyzed a dream and integrated it’s meaning, it can even becomes part of a dream repertoire in which other dreams can reference it in order to place a symbol. Settings that mean certain things to me can be brought up in other dreams to signal their meaning around the same theme. People who are teaching me certain lessons can appear without much more needed analysis to decipher their role there. Even as I’m writing a dream, sometimes other dreams will flash forward like a déjà vu and I will know the subjects are connected somehow.
The important part is that you listen to your intuition and feelings so you are able to establish your own symbolic dream meanings that your subconscious will integrate and allow it to guide you through intuition to its intended meaning.

Part 2
How it Works
Working with dreams creates a continuous healing cycle. Each night when dreaming, we draw up a layer of healing from the subconscious and meet the information the next day to complete it.
The next night another layer is brought up from the subconscious that is met, reviewed, and integrated. As we repeat this process, we integrate one digestible piece of our psyche’s healing at a time allowing us to dole out our integration of Self at a level that is safe for the nervous system. The nervous system itself will never bring up more than it is ready to handle and at this steady pace we are able to work through piece by piece of our layers to integrate our experiences, re-connect with our feelings we had long forgotten, and begin to hear our inner voice again. This is the work of self-reclamation.
Through out our life’s trauma and conditioning, we often disconnect from the Truth of our experiences to maintain connection or protect ourselves while in situations we can not change and that we depend on for survival, even if they are not the safest for our emotional well being or sense of self.
Who we are instinctively gets sacrificed for survival. Many events that happen to us are written into the realm of normalcy in our minds but are cycling on loop re-creating the original unsafety and misalignment in our current, adult lives. It is vitally important that we recognize our true experiences and how they affected us in order to finally integrate them and stop repeating them.
Dreams will never lie just as feelings never lie. We may not be able to make logical sense of them sometimes but the Truth of the feeling stands. It is information.
When we allow ourselves to feel the feelings that arise from our dreams, we are revisiting the quality and intensity of an emotion long stored in our body and nervous system and even our Soul’s experience. In doing so we are giving that feeling the chance to process in a way that it did not get to at its origination.
Through tapping into the feeling as a touch stone to the past, we are also able to uncover Truths of our experiences or of systems of abuse we have been a part of that have been normalized by our families and societies for generations and that may be continuing for us today, and eventually move to break free from them.
In many cases we are born to a set of familial and societal conditioning that indoctrinates us early on and which we accept as normal when really it is dysfunctional and unhealthy. The people enacting these systems do not question them and often require that we follow suit and so we do in our formative years.
That does not mean they don’t leave their mark on us. That mark is often a feeling and is an important touchstone back to a time when our Spirit and the Truth of who we are was damaged by these systems and we were led astray from our course. This can be done in hugely traumatic ways or in cumulative every day ways that still produce a dysfunctional or unhealthy outcome.
Dreams don’t obey the limits of conscious time and space, they can travel back to the time in an instant through a feeling, and when we tap into that feeling, we can get all the validation of fact and experience and integration of energy and emotion that we need to allow our body, heart, and mind to grow past the experience and move on from it. When experiences are repeat or every day, it may take many days of dreaming to break from a life-long grooved pattern, but the result is always that we align with our True Selves as we were always meant to be.
We are using the hypnagogic state of between sleep and wakefulness, when we write down our dreams, to help us reach back to the fragmented parts of ourselves and recover lost information and integrate the energy of our experiences by allowing our feelings to complete in our present, adult lives. This done daily in small ways can move us forward and out of a traumatic set of circumstances from the past that has followed us ever since. It is not a replacement for therapy and you may want to consider working with a trauma-informed therapist alongside this if you feel you will need help processing what comes up.
The other benefits of this process are that we re-establish our connection to our emotions so they may flow freely and communicate with us in real time when things come up that trigger us, feel unsafe, or are not right for us, leading us to make different choices in the moment as we learn to align with our true self in our physical lives. We resurrect that neglected emotional part of ourselves that almost all of us carry in one form or another and give them the time and space to be heard and seen in our real, daily life, growing our sense of self and telling ourselves that we matter. We also begin to give credence to our internal messaging system after experiencing so much Truth and alignment from it through its dream communications, especially when we have not experienced it anywhere else in our lives. It begins to become clear that following it’s pulses of communication is vital to our healing.
There is no difference to your subconscious between waking and dreaming and so healing in either state works for our reality. Dreaming acts as a training ring in which you get to work out all the nuances of these real life energies, experiences, and psychological patterns in the more subtle layers of reality without having to go through the disrupting experiences in physical life.
When you are actively working with your dreams, you are now meeting your healing by choice. No longer does your attention need to be called to your healing by painful life events or patterns because you are already showing up. We can establish a calm, low rhythmic tone of partnership by starting the conversation ourselves and entering our dreams with intention to hear our inner voice and heal with it.
Dreams themselves are communications from all manner of spiritual beings through our psychic and psychological channels. You most often will be speaking with your higher self or your Soul, voiced by your subconscious state, who is guiding you on your life path and towards your healing and evolution.
Other messengers may be present too, usually in the form of people from our past who have had a strong impact on us. Sometimes they are living figures in our current life, sometimes they have passed on from our life, or even from this world entirely.
As you dream you will begin to feel the distinct messages that are sent to you through different voices and figures and begin to understand how each is showing up for you in your dreams in a way that they couldn’t do in life. This opens up to a world of spiritual partnerships and completed soul contracts that otherwise could not be fulfilled due to life circumstances.
On a similar note, we are also better able to access our psychic, intuitive, emotional, and subconscious worlds from a dream state and by tapping into our dreams access these parts of self from an awake, present state. This allows us to dig deep into hidden meanings and feelings, recovered memories and events, and to make connections with the help of our intuition and spirit guides that our waking self alone normally couldn’t reach.

Dreaming and Building a Bridge to Intuition and Psychic Ability
Dreaming exists in the Astral plane, a dimensional place that our subconscious mind, and non-physical self is always connected to. In the Astral plane everything can be anything, there is no linear time, no right or wrong, and we can walk across worlds in an instant to meet, interact, teach, and heal with each other, making the impossible possible. That’s why our dreams have such an otherworldly quality, they are of another world being interpreted by our physical selves upon waking. And that’s what makes healing through dreams so potent, we are sinking down into the place in ourselves where there are no bounds and we are pure Soul.
There are two parts of our mind, our conscious mind which is the part that we are aware of and houses about 5% of our mind’s capacity and our subconscious mind which houses the rest of the 95% of our abilities along with our stored memories and experiences that inform our current life without our conscious knowledge.
The part of us that dreams, our subconscious, also houses our intuition and psychic abilities. As you spend time analyzing your subconscious dream state from your conscious waking mind, you begin to direct energy to your subconscious mind from your conscious mind both physically through neuron development and energetically through attuning to this part of yourself. You are building a bridge from your conscious mind that can connect with this intuitive place at all times while you form a language through which the two parts of your mind speak.
Over time and repetition of doing this, your intuitive state and psychic abilities become more forward representations in your daily life. Suddenly you have a stronger sense of intuition to guide you and you are receiving distinct messages in your daily life through visual, audio, or other sensory based clairs (psychic abilities). You may even develop the intuitive ability to read messages delivered around you in waking life through other people, animals, and signs by strengthening your intuitive ability to read dreams.
This sense of intuition is the most valuable guide we have in this life and is often cut off from us at an early age when it is at odds with the world around us and not being nurtured. The foundational healing of Dream Healing is recovering our intuition as a part of us as vital as our mind or limbs, it is our connection to our Soul. From here, so much can happen, shift, change in exciting and scary but ultimately safe and guided ways. This is how our life can be made of miracles, by listening to our Soul and learning how it speaks.

Building a Soul-Aligned, Intuitively Led Life through Dreams
By opening up the flow of your subconscious mind to your conscious mind, you make all manner of psychic messaging and intuitive knowing from this part of you more accessible. Your intuition, acting as communication from your Soul is then better able to guide and communicate with you in your daily life. As you develop your dream work over time, you may find you also develop psychic abilities, messages, and visions. These abilities are not to be feared, you are opening up to your higher self, a non-physical part of you that is always in communion with you and the whole of the Universe, the part of you that dreams and connects with the Astral realm and is trying to help you, in fact it is the purest part of you, and now you have a direct line you know how to use. This is one of the fastest and most direct routes to developing your intuition and creating an intuitively led life, as so many desire to do.
One of the benefits of dream work is that you are given the ability to heal, custom made for you by the only being who can truly understand you to this depth and know the specific, soul-guided way you are meant to heal – your Soul self. It is only the blueprint in your Soul that knows the exact most effective way to meet your evolution that is meant for you and that you chose before incarnating. It is not a linear path that someone else can teach you but a meandering one that the logical, conscious mind could never abide by without a stronger knowing from a deeper place inside yourself.
Thankfully our Soul knows the way and is constantly informing us through our intuitive messaging that we now have greater access to both in sleep and waking life. In our intuitive and dream states, we are able to access layers of our feelings and experiences not accessible to us consciously and our Soul is able to help us heal in a multidimensional way while we simultaneously grow along our soul-aligned path building an authentic life for ourselves .
Each day you are given the next right step, a direction in the way you should go, an understanding that puts your whole life into new perspective. Each time we meet our dreams and receive our healing, it is a little miracle of the Universe that we are participating in and welcoming, exactly why were put on this earth – to heal, to learn, and to grow.
This deeper knowing of ourselves and connection to the Universe not only acts as a guide to building a physical life but changes the way we feel about life. We are given access to the higher perspective and thus acceptance and integration of our life’s events on a molecular and nervous system level far more intricate than our logical minds can create. A sense of faith is instilled and we begin to move through life in a new way, testing our limits, moving in new directions, making new choices, and doing so in trust. This is how our life changes, because we are changed on the inside.

My Story With Dreaming Healing
Hopefully my experience will give you some insight into what to expect from your own Dream Healing experience. I hope that it imparts the message that nothing is off limits when it comes to your dreams, nothing is too weird to do or think or try. This way of being is a break from many of the conventional ways we are taught to live however it will become much more normal for us in the long run when things start to feel so much more right, we start to experience power over our lives for the first time, and we are introduced to our authentic self, after that there is no convention worth going back to.
I started working with my dreams in April of 2017. At first I had to isolate while I slept and would wake up through out the night after powerful dreams that left my heart writhing with feelings. The more I engaged with those feelings as they came up, the more I remembered of my dreams. It was the feeling sense that was linking them to my conscious mind and memory and making them more accessible when I awoke.
Each day that I dreamed, I would write down the details of the dream, all the colors, symbols, settings like I was setting the stage for a play. Then I would record the events of the dream to the best of my recollection. And then I would add commentary, notes, and analysis. This left me with pages upon pages worth of writing in my notes app that I would add to through out the day. What started as bits and pieces of scenes became whole cinematic journeys each night over a short amount of time and attention from me.
At this point I had not accessed my psychic or intuitive senses, I was working still very conventionally in my own brick-and-mortar small business and was very invested in the physical world. These forays each night into the boundless dreamscape which held and pulled up my feelings were the beginning of drawing up my inner feminine self, psychic energy, and intuition and connecting me with the other side.
The dreams would act like hangovers through out the day as I felt their material sliding through my mind and feelings. As it came up to me, I would write it down, half entering back into that dream place each time, tying back what it meant to me in the moment as my day progressed. By the end of the day I would have a multi-tier message of healing that was custom built for me by my feelings, spirit, and mind.
I followed this path daily for years and each day gave me a portion of my healing I could have never otherwise conjured if working with someone other than myself to get my messages. It began to build my bridge to my interior senses to the point that I began to channel and could slip into my subconscious state to receive messages while perfectly awake and functioning.
My healing has been facilitated and augmented by skilled and powerful practitioners through out my journey in meaningful bursts. But the most meaningful work I did to heal myself and uncover my intuitive side was the daily connection with these parts of myself through my dreams.
I have received more miracles of healing through this avenue than I can count and I would have never made it as successfully through my healing, especially in the healing of my generational line, had I not been given the gift of these dreams. I was able to see what many before me were not able to and to receive divine solutions to seemingly impossible to solve issues that affected generations before me.
After my initial start in April, by October of 2017 I was called to start a meditation practice and began to hear my inner voice wake up while doing it, this was my first inklings of identifying my intuition and beginning to develop a significant psychic ability that would guide the rest of my life choices.
A year of practice later in November 2018 I was called to leave my job, a restaurant that I had built with my heart from the ground up, but had become so overwhelming that the work began to crush me spiritually and physically. The message I received was that I wanted out and in being willing to follow the advice of my inner self, a whole new world opened up to me.
A few months later in early 2019, I experienced a spiritual awakening, a term I use to reference the full opening of my psychic channel and a total change in world view through the information I received by it. My grandmother who had passed was the one to welcome me into my messaging through one of her keepsakes on my shelf. She started channeling to me only information that she would know and my mother could confirm. The experience of receiving psychic information and opening my psychic channel felt like I was falling off the known Earth because in a sense I was. I didn’t know what to think but I knew to trust and wait it out. Over a few weeks, the initial sensations began to level out and I was regularly receiving messages through long form journaling. I would spend the next year and a half almost entirely secluded and enjoying myself immensely in this new world and way of being.
In January of 2020, I had received the message that it was time to move out of our home state, a goal we had always had for our family. We had no feasible way of doing that at the time – we owned a house, a business, and had little savings. By March of 2020, the pandemic had fully hit and our restaurant was part of the loss of many small businesses during that time. We managed to garner a little money out of that, sell our house, and by August of that year had completed our move across the country.
I received messages in April 2021, that my Dad and my daughter would be crossing paths. At the time we had no children and my Dad while a long-term survivor of cancer was seemingly in remission. My Dad would pass that August from a brain tumor, three days later I would find out I was pregnant with our first child, a daughter who I had met in a dream in 2019.
It was a tumultuous time to say the least but the part about our daughter was a long held dream come true. Our motivation for moving away was to find a true home for ourselves and a better life to welcome our daughter into. Sad as it was that it was my father’s time to leave us, he was instrumental in guiding us to that life and helping our daughter come through to meet us. He and I still speak regularly today and while it does not diminish the grief, it is a miracle nonetheless.
At this point our life had been through so many dynamic changes from our logical and physically focused prior one. This new life was intuitively guided, equally as challenging, but fulfilling. For the first time we were making progress in our happiness and coming Home.
We had moved out across the country in order to claim our independence and start our family as per my messaging instructions and by 2022 we were ready to come back to the east coast as new people, grown adults, and with an actual new person in our arms.
This is all that happened above ground by following my messages and healing from my dreams and intuition. That’s a lot for 5 years and it’s only about 20% of what happened that came from this practice.
The rest happened underneath the surface. All my life I suffered from shame and pain passed down in my family that I had assimilated as my norm assuming I would never be able to escape it. I knew my pitfalls and insecurities and though they were crippling to me in many ways, I assumed they would never get any better.
Through this process I have healed myself deeply and have gained awareness of so many parts of myself that were living in the shadows. Over the years, I have used this practice to systematically retrieve my power from many draining sources and ways of being and to brick-by-brick build an aligned life guided by the voice of my Soul-born Truth inside me. I still have healing to do in my heart, mind, and body and always will as a trauma survivor– that’s why I still work with this method every day and utilize other therapeutic and spiritual practices alongside it. But my Spirit is now activated and helping guide me along each step of the way, it is my foundation for everything else I choose to do. Dream work is a ritual and cleansing through which I grow my life in this continual direction of alignment and wholeness.
My grandest accomplishment, after years of fearing my generational trauma as inescapable, is that I’m learning new capacities within myself for healthy relationship to myself and the world and I’ve healed enough trust in myself to become a mother and allow myself the gift of having a child.
My husband and I have both healed in tandem with each other often playing off each other’s progress unconsciously to meet each other at deeper levels and we have now formed the family and secure attachment our childhood hearts always wanted and craved.
Our lives look different from how we ever dreamed and greater than we could have imagined, for when we meet our aligned life, it is not the ego-high type of happy that we’re used to, it’s a fit that feels like home and fills you up like a warm meal, while inspiring you and driving you on to wake up each day and consume more of it.
This is coming from a person, who at best had condemned my life to the trauma of my past and at worst, in my darkest moments, was ready to throw my life away all together.
To say dreaming is a miracle for me is an understatement and that’s why I want to share it, so everyone can experience miracle healing of their own making and find themselves in a life they love, aligned with their Soul, recovering the will to truly live as they were born to and most deeply desire and deserve.
Some of my specific healing highlights are:
I shed conditioning around my looks, beauty, and my place in the world as a woman(Reclaimed my curls, body, body hair, and make-up free face).
I connected with my intuitive self and spirit guides and began to build my skill as a channel becoming an Akashic Reader and Astrologer. Now I use these principles to guide my life.
I discovered my true nature as an artist and healed my conditioning around what I am supposed to do in the world and how I am supposed to work.
I healed my body and especially my womb in order to conceive a child and raise her in healthy emotional attachment.
I healed generations worth of trauma and shame from my family that I thought would never budge and have now written that into our soul contract for future generations.
I healed multiple lifetimes worth of my own trauma in a few years and brought my life from a heavily conditioned existence into an aligned one for my Soul, now having a source of Faith I rely on for every decision and manifestation and no longer relying solely on the outer world process for advancement. This type of Faith is a form of freedom, and even more so, Peace.
I broke free from systems of narcissistic abuse and gaslighting that particularly preyed on women in my family and am forming new pathways in our lineage by building a family outside that system. Without Dreams I would never have understood this is what was happening or learned of the energy dynamics and actions required to stop it.

Dreams as Clearings and Nervous System Healing
Dream Healing works to physically, energetically, and emotionally clear our bodies of past experiences. By revisiting the conditions of a dream that brought up a specific energy or emotion, the subconscious is able to complete the cycle associated with it and clear it even years later.
The subconscious does not work on linear time and will not differentiate between now and the time in which the event happened. As long as the conditions cause the same response to the subconscious, it is as if it is happening now. Usually years or even decades after an event, we have enough perspective and growth to be able to finally process what is happening. This is particularly true when the event occurred in our childhood when we were not psychologically or emotionally developed enough to process certain things. Now as adults we have the tools, knowledge, experience, and development to do so.
There is a lot of talk about changing your beliefs in order to change your life, but you can’t hope to just change your mind about something that has an energetic tie in the nervous system. Through Dream Healing, we tap into what is stored in the subconscious/nervous system and draw it up for healing that can change your physical life by changing your subconscious. By revisiting the conditions of the event, we are able to complete those ties in the nervous system so our beliefs can automatically update on their own.
This is why paying attention to feelings from the dreams is so important. The feelings are the conditions and energies of the original experience that the dream is looking to complete. Our feelings are made to help us process life’s experiences. When they can not complete and remain an active threat in the nervous system, we can not move forward. When we complete our feelings, the nervous system is able to file the experience away as information and we can move on. Dreams give us the time jumping ability to work in our subconscious as our adult selves and feelings are the link between time through which we do so.

Emotional Processing
While the system is simple, the actual healing can still feel difficult to manage when it comes to the emotional processing of what you’re healing. Dream healing has the ability to bring up past traumas, past lives that need healing, and difficult dynamics that we may not have noticed before in our lives, our families, our relationships, and ourselves.
Dream healing also has the ability to show us untapped potentials, the truth of our heart’s desires, and deliver messages of hope and faith that can bring us farther in life than we are able to imagine on our own. It is through the mechanism of emotional processing and integration that we draw the energies and emotions already buried inside of us from our experiences up to our awareness and integrate them in our bodies while releasing them into the Universe for us to move with them into our future.
When a dream occurs it is a micro-lesson in a much larger picture of healing. With each dream, as we process it over 1-2 days, the intensity of emotional processing will eventually give way to a feeling of healing, understanding, integration, and ultimately freedom and peace. We close that chapter feeling a completeness on the subject that empowers us to feel differently because the emotions tied to it have finally been processed. This means our beliefs can shift internally via our emotional processing and that can see real physical world change in an area of life because when our inner world truly changes and moves its energy, so does our outer world.
Some dreams may heal in sequences over multiple nights completing an entire theme in layers that we receive as we’re ready for them. These types of dreams can create an entire storyboard for our understanding of a dynamic and show us all the karmic energy involved, bringing an even richer sense of peace and healing. These types of dreams often happen over astrological events which are particularly potent times for dream healing and see the biggest leaps forward in our waking lives if we work with our dreams through out them.
Dream healing in this way will tap into the subconscious mind, emptying what it holds and observing it in the light, clearing out the energy of stored emotion, and rewriting the brain’s beliefs through new eyes based on what our Soul and our current version of self knows to be true at this point in our lives, which is fortunately much more aware than we were when we formed that belief as a child.
Sometimes unexpected patterns will make themselves known and Truths will be revealed that even the mechanisms of our own mind protected us from, this can be disorienting. It can be hard to process. It is important to lean on Faith in these moments, knowing that whatever has been shown to us that once protected us from overwhelm, is showing itself now because we are ready. The mind and body biologically can not bring up what we do not yet have the capacity to hold and so we can review our recent growth and decide to reframe that we do have the capacity for this new shift.
In the dream recording instructions, we focused on the feeling. We are going to continue to do that and use the framework we learned there to help us make sense of and integrate what we are receiving through dreams. When a feeling occurs through out our emotional processing, we ask ourselves a few main questions: What does this feel like? Where is it in my body? (This can require some sitting alone to decipher). And what does it remind me of? (A specific place, person, event, time in your life, or other amalgam of energies you have received that you are now putting words and awareness to, this is your world, you get to decide what meaning makes sense and resonates as true for you). There are also somatic exercises available in the appendixes that when practiced daily can help this process along and increase our capacity for change and clarity when meeting our Truth after all these years.
When we are dreaming, the voice of our Soul is connecting with us through our subconscious mind to direct us to the truth and the healing available and often gives direct instruction as to how to go about that. Trust in your individual process of how you need to emotionally process and integrate this information. That is the greatest wisdom you can hold. There are amazing revelations to be had in this method. And there is also a notable commitment to be made alongside dream healing in learning how to deal with, process, and make space for our emotions in our daily lives. As we connect to the internal parts of ourselves, dream healing is a an actual way we can learn how to feel and acknowledge our emotions again after many years that required us to disconnect and dissociate from them. Trust that if you are embarking on this process, it is time and you are ready, your Soul will guide the way.

Carrying analysis throughout our day and the symbols in our waking experiences
The dreams we experience and encapsulate in the morning can have the effect of following us through out our day. Once we have a solid understanding of what our dream communicated to us, our lives may play out from that energy that has been opened to deepen our understanding of it. Leave space in your day for emotional processing and prioritize whatever comes up for you by either writing it down in a journal or in your notes app from when you wrote the dream originally.
Pay attention to particularly charged or coincidental things that happen. Also pay attention to your thoughts as they come up while experiencing your day, they may show you more than you realize. By doing this the dream evolves from its initial subject into a layered understanding of all the ways this subject plays out in our lives and we receive a complete and multi-layered analysis and healing.
It’s easy to see things we would have otherwise missed if we follow the threads of our dreams’ themes through the uncanny situations that life presents us afterwards. It might be hard to imagine going through your usual day while also processing on a deep level but in the morning you hopefully were able to encapsulate your dream into an understanding that gives you a sense of knowing and empowerment with which to approach the rest of your day’s messages.
By working with your dream at all you have already woken up the voice of intuition in your daily life and have a stronger sense of Knowing when events do come up. And when we work with these events further, we are able to build on our understanding from earlier.
It can help to carry the theme of the dream at the forefront of our minds with a decided openness to see whatever life wants to tell us further about it, knowing that it is for our healing and will help us. I often ask myself the question in any type of karmic-feeling situation, “What am I being shown about myself here?” This is another form of “turning towards” what you are being shown or a willingness to see the truth and surrendering to the process of healing it.
It requires some courage to take on this work in the first place and to continually turn toward it in our lives. Hold kindness, support, and strength for yourself knowing you are doing something incredible by being willing to see. And that this is an important part of your life that deserves as much space and respect as the more tangible aspects of our lives.

Telling the Difference Between Intuition and the Thinking Mind
As we develop our intuition, a common question that arises is: how do we tell the difference between our intuition and our thoughts? And the answer is that while there is a distinct difference between the thinking mind and the intuitive self, you won’t be able to hone in on one or the other right away.
It takes practice strengthening the intuitive connection in order to make our Intuitive voice that has been so relegated to the background, loud enough for us to hear. Changes must occur in our overall energetic physiology for us to start embodying more of the intuitive part of ourselves and bring it forward. While our intuitive channel is always speaking and never goes away, it may feel like a muscle that has been out of use in the beginning.
On the other side, you might find that your intuition has been speaking loudly in the background all along and you simply didn’t recognize it. It is just as common for people to mistake their intuitive channel for their own thoughts. Everyone has their own signature and voice and it will simply take tuning into it again and again to be able to identify it which we do nightly with our dream work.
The best advice for this particular quandary is to keep at it knowing that for a time, your intuition may be feeding you a thought and your thinking mind may pull it apart, invalidate it, or even anxiously question it for more information. All of these experiences are normal to a mind who is newly changing over channels.
Eventually you will be able to tune out the thinking mind’s interference and just receive. Dream healing is an amazing process through which to do that. In continually tapping into the subconscious part of ourselves, we are activating our intuition to come online more readily. It doesn’t take long, a few weeks to months of practicing and healing to be able to hold the two apart and distinguish which one is speaking.
In the meantime, trust that all progress is progress and any amount of interference or incoherence is not a detriment but a natural part of our biology and process. Holding space for the fact that both will be present in the beginning and during stressful times will help us get to our destination of intuitively hearing ourselves faster, doing away with perfectionism and simply letting all parts of ourselves coexist, this is the healing our Soul needs.

Breakthrough meanings: words, symbols, voices between waking and dreaming
Specific symbol imagery and spoken word messages are common phenomenon of dreaming and are meant to be paid close attention to. They often occur between waking and sleeping and may be hard to recall right away. Do your best to write them down as quickly as possible when this happens, even if it doesn’t make sense yet or if you only have the gist of it, it is enough.
These are direct communications from our Soul or from energies on the other side that are trying to help us and usually are a distinct puzzle piece that we needed to receive in that moment, designed especially to trigger our deeper understanding.
When you see a dream symbol, don’t go immediately to look it up by someone else’s definition. Ask yourself, what does this symbol mean to me? What is it, what does the thing it represents do? I.e. if you see a crow, think about what you know about crows and what you associate with them. That will give you a deeper sumbolic meaning. Ask yourself “What does it feel like or remind me of?” before consulting any outside source. An intuitive answer will surface and you will have your meaning.
You can ask these questions and find a meaning with all the aspects of your dream story (i.e. who is this person to me? Why did I see that animal – what does it mean to me?) but there will also be times where symbols particularly stand ourtor evoke something in us and these are the symbols we are talking about. It is better to define it by what it means to us than by what someone else says it means, after all, we are our own dream dictionary as it came from our own subconscious mind and was designed especially for us.
Words and voices are more straight forward, what they say is pretty clear and is meant to be held and unpacked over time. It usually is delivered as a single line of profound wisdom. Sometimes it might even seem mundane in meaning. You can tune into who sent it to you, if it came from you or a Spirit Guide or ancestor, and you can even ask them to clarify its meaning if you need.
It might not make sense right away but after you analyze the entirety of the dream and find a common theme, it can fit perfectly or maybe after the day’s events your sense of its meaning becomes clearer. These breakthrough spoken word messages are distinct instructions from the other side that are meant to guide that layer of this healing. As always with dream healing, keep an open mind for your intuition to help show you.

Reoccurring Dreams, Locations, and Symbols
When we are dreaming in a cinematic way, our dream dictionary may begin to form through reoccurring symbols, locations, or even people. We know these as reoccurring dreams where something significant is the same even if the dream is a little different each time.
These reoccurring symbols are usually tied to a stronger sense of emotion of something deeply rooted that wants to come out and be seen. There may be a more mystical element to such symbols as something karmic that is taking a long time to work out through many reoccurring layers.
If you are experiencing reoccurring settings, visitors, symbols, feelings, or experiences, pay attention to them and identify a similar theme through feeling and your gut sense. Listen closely to your intuition on this one, it’s trying to tell you something, and trust whatever comes up and identifies itself. That is the meaning of that symbol going forward. If you designate it, so it will be. You are working with your own mind to communicate with itself after all, you get a say. Eventually you may have a custom dream dictionary of your own, made by your own mind and Spirit together, that will help you read these dreams and process them to the root more quickly and easily.

Dream Visitors
Dream visitors can be like a reoccurring symbol, something your brain is trying to tell you over and over again. They could also be an energetic partnership between you and the person, alive or not, to help heal or complete something.
Perhaps something in life got in the way and the Souls were not able to complete the contract they took on together. Perhaps there’s simply unfinished business. Maybe they are reaching out to you for help. More often I have felt them in my presence to help me and act as teachers or guides, these include family members past and present, old friends, relationship partners, even teachers. And sometimes the help is mutual. You may never have insight into the other side of the dynamic but trust that what happens in dreamland is real on some plane of existence.
Try not to ruminate about what this means for you in real life in relation to the person. People are often very different in Soul form than in human form and there’s a reason they were not able to complete this with you in person, something in their human form remains resistant. It is safe to assume that the work you do in dream land and through your own healing and analysis will affect the energetic dynamic to help clear it without physical interaction.
With dream visitors who have passed, we may have a much more clear feeling that it was really them who visited us. This is because they are more aligned with the Soul form after crossing over, this is all that is left of their energy in our lives and there is no more conflict on the surface. In the same vein it has also been true that living people’s visits can feel real and that’s because they are. It’s important to treat all visitors who feel real as significant and spend extra time with the dream and that relationship. It’s a miracle to be able to connect this way and not to be wasted.

Dreams and Past Life Healings
nything you are being asked to heal in this life can be healed with the material given to you in this life. You do not need to bring up past lives. But if something is particularly potent or stubborn or if the reaction is particularly strong it may help to lessen its attachment strength by acknowledging that there may be a pattern of this feeling carried through lifetimes. This feels like when something hits us so deeply emotionally it knocks the wind out of us or when we feel irrationally scared like our Soul is trying to escape. At this point it can help to say, “Okay, there is past life resonance here.” This will hopefully help lessen the strength of emotions and re-ground the Soul in the present.
Dreams do not discriminate between timelines. And in which case it is at least necessary to acknowledge when something feels it has a past life component that that is an underlying layer bringing it more strongly to the surface in this life.
The acknowledgment of more layers is enough to clear them. If you feel you’d like to dig more into what that past life was about, you can ask yourself the same questions you would about a dream you were recording. What does this remind me of? What do I see? Who am I? Who’s there? What does this feel like? Then begin to ascertain certain details of that life in your analysis.
Past lives are energy impressions at this point, some people may see them clearly while others just get a sense of what happened. It is important to validate whatever you see as true. If you have a hard time believing what you see, you can consider it like an archetype or symbol for whatever it was you truly experienced e.g. a princess locked in a castle = a history of imprisonment and an unwillingness to break free in this life. You may also consider it fact if that’s how you perceive it.
Validating your intuitive sense and your understanding of these events is most important. Again, all that is needed to clear a past life pattern that is occurring in this life is to acknowledge, “this may have past life ties.” Then the work in this life can heal all the way back to it from the present.

Dreaming and Astrology
It helps to know astrological themes going on in order to pin point what type of energies and healing might be at play, especially if you feel unsure as to the meaning of the dream, the astrological energies and functions at play in the sky could help point the way or even download the message for you.
Astrology is the language designed to speak of the energetic effect of the celestial bodies in our solar system as they interact with each other. These interactions affect us in our societal and our individual consciousness’s. The study of astrology is the patterns found within these consciousness shifts in relation to the movement of the planets.
If you are of a sensitive nature and feel energies from all around you, you may be astrologically sensitive as well. A typical sign of astrological sensitivity is that our dreams, sleep, eating, and physical energy may be impacted by astrological movement. For our purposes here we’re going to talk about some of the most potent astrology that affects dreams and how to make use of it.
Mercury Retrograde
Retrogrades of the inner planets are going to affect us on a bodily and personal level. These would include Mercury, Venus, and Mars. While a retrograde of any of these three will have obvious reverberations in our physical and energetic lives, it is particularly Mercury Retrograde that affects the mind, the subconscious, and our dreams.
Mercury as a planet corresponds to the mind as well as electronics (similar to the way the brain operates on a series of electric impulses). When a planet goes retrograde, its relation to Earth makes it appear to be going backwards in its orbit. Physically this is untrue, but relationally to Earth this is the effect.
When Mercury, the mind, goes backwards, we can think of the mind following suit: instead of going forward in regular conscious thought like we normally function, it turns around and faces the subconscious part of ourselves bringing up more of our beliefs and stored experiences for review and healing.
Dwelling more heavily in the subconscious mind means our dreams will also be more potent and forward for us to remember. They will also contain a wealth of subconscious information that was specifically picked for this time to be healed. We pay pay special attention to dreams during Mercury Retrograde knowing that our usual daily level of healing can become leaps and bounds of healing, growth, and advancement through this energetic boost over a matter of weeks.
We want to look at a few things when relating the specifics of a Mercury retrograde to how it may affect our individual healing. We look at the sign(s) and degrees Mercury will move through and compare with our Natal chart to see if we have any planets in those signs or degrees through out our chart. This will identify themes we may experience when we define what meaning the planets and signs involved hold. We also want to look at what house(s) in our natal chart the mercury retrograde will be moving through as that will show us what area of life this will show up in in our lives.
Moon Cycles
Moon Cycles are another regular astrological event that impact our dreaming.
A New Moon follows the clearing of the old cycle and begins as a fresh cycle that builds in energy. It may feel like an emptiness at first as it grows to a Full Moon at which point a peak culmination occurs and a breakthrough is seen, usually involving another clearing to make way for what’s newly formed to come fully into reality. You may notice signs and synchonicities along the way that point to the direction of your healing and gain.
Once the moon peaks at Full it will wane back to the emptiness of the New Moon, releasing all that does not align with this new manifestation. Our lives release alongside the shrinking moon as we continue to clear whatever layers of energy, emotion, and belief we’ve been holding onto that no longer align with this new breakthrough or manifestation as it continues to develop and deepen in us up until the final moments of the cycle in the dark moon where release is most intense that life almost feels at a stand still, then turns New again and the cycle starts over.
It helps to know which part of the cycle you are in: are you growing and building or are you clearing and deflating? Are you at the emptiness of something new, barely gestated or are you at full capacity at which something must move out and through you into the world?
It also helps to know what astrological sign each event is occurring in so you may follow the themes for that process and make sense of whats happening. And it is helpful to know what natal planets you may have in that sign or aspecting the moon, and what natal house it is occurring in so you can identify what this means for you specifically and the area of life where it is playing out for you.
Dreams tend to be most potent around New and Full Moons when our intuition is most heightened and sleep is disrupted. Each month the moon cycle gives us a chance to look deeper into our emotional worlds for healing and manifestation in the area the moon is transiting.
Eclipses
Eclipses are particularly potent moon cycles. They occur in the signs that the Nodes of Fate, which are the north and south poles of the moon, are currently in and represent our Soul’s path and reason for incarnating and our past life experiences and abilities, respectively.
When an eclipse occurs either the Moon moves between the Sun and the Earth at the same level blocking out the Sun’s light (Solar Eclipse) or the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon blocking out the Moon’s reflection of that light (Lunar Eclipse). The blocking out of either light source physically represents how these events energetically eclipse things from our lives and being. In any formation, these three planets are creating an alignment, or portal, through which things that are particularly karmic or energetically potent can be transmuted.
Eclipses are times of massive change, clearing, and transformation. Eclipse season happens in a pair of two eclipses at a time. These pairings occur twice a year spaced six months after the least season. During these times our dreams can take some wild and unexpected turns, as can our lives. If you are ever living through an absolutely crazy moment in life, it is worth checking to see if an eclipse has happened recently.
The portal between the first and second eclipse is an intense period where every day can welcome change and new information fed to us through our heightened intuitive channel that is readily received by us through dreams. The two weeks after the second eclipse can be equally intense but usually has the quality of wrapping up the issue as the moon cycle closes out a full four weeks.
They do not always start on a New Moon, sometimes a Full Moon is the first eclipse but they always occur on a moon event because New and Full Moons are just the Sun, Earth and Moon conjunct in different configurations. Each moon event’s effect’s last two weeks until the next one occurs, so two weeks after the final eclipse we are cleared and completed of the eclipse energy. This ends the period of potent dreaming but the effects of that particular moon cycle will play out for six months until the next eclipse season.
Eclipse cycles are innately tied to our karma and Soul’s purpose and can speak to us through all means of energetic and psychic means. It is important to pay special attention to dreams during these periods as the messages are distinct, instructional, and break through the veil in a way less energetic times do not often do.

Focus on Feelings, Let Intuition Lead, Trust Yourself – What You See is What You See
The final entry in our dream healing instructions is a reminder of the most important tenants of dream healing, intuition, and life: Focus on your feelings, let intuition lead, and trust yourself.
Focus on Feelings
Feelings are the energetic tie across time and space between your subconscious. Through feeling you are transported back to a time and state where you are able to truly make change. Feelings are the only part of your dream that truly matters. What they mean to you is what they mean – that is the only interpretation. Learning to trust yourself in this way builds your intuition and your ability to communicate with this side of yourself. Feel your feelings, let them speak to you, and process them through.
Let Intuition Lead
Letting your intuition lead is an act of trust. It may be the first act of trust we ever have towards ourselves to do something as realistically inconsequential as believing ourselves, especially after a lifetime of directly and inadvertently being taught not to. While the consequences in the negative for believing yourself are null, the consequences in the positive are massive. This can change a whole relationship dynamic with your Soul, your intuition, and with your inner self building a whole world for you that you never knew was there and was always vital to your survival. Let your intuition lead, trust what it says. What you see is what you see. What you know is what you know. Even if you don’t know what to do or think yet, there is no room for question in this relationship when you are trying to heal and there is no way to be wrong about your experience. Believe yourself and your Soul will follow after.
Trust Yourself
Finally, in the same vein, trust your thoughts, trust what you feel, trust what you see – what you are experiencing is real. Many common theories of healing tell us to separate from our thoughts and emotions. While identifying with them is not healthy, eschewing them is not either. Thoughts, feelings, signs, gut feelings are all messengers and in order to begin to access the nonlinear parts of ourselves who are necessary for our full being to come into form, we have to allow some logical departure into our life and go out on a limb and trust. Make it a rule to trust yourself, even if you don’t know what it means, even if you feel skeptical or scared, set the boundary that you will not question what you see. You know what you know, you know what you feel, and you know what you see – you did not make it up, it is real.
This is the foundational lesson of all healing. In trusting ourselves, letting our intuition lead, allowing our emotional and energetic messengers to reach us, we are opening ourselves up to an other worldly way of being that is rooted firmly in our biology and physical experience, that is distinctly human and is a birth right to us all. We may have simply forgotten our way but this is how we find our way back to ourselves and the life we were born to live.

Part 3
Dream Healing Process Review (Part 1)
Review of Dream Recordings and questions to ask:
Let the illogical and intuitive lead you
You don’t know what story is going to emerge so don’t omit details
Start with what you remember and see if you can fill in the rest later as you go
Focus on setting the scene, describing the events, defining the people involved and their roles, and recording your emotional response to all of the above as the key that unlocks the meaning
Ask yourself some of the following questions:
People
Where are they?
What they are doing? What is your sense of them in the dream?
How did you feel about them?
Do they remind you of anything or any one specific?
Is there a certain theme or feeling tied to them?
How are they behaving and who are they to you in the dream?
Is there anything odd or notable about them?
Feelings
Underneath each scene give yourself a couple of lines to summarize how that particular scene felt for you. Focus on strong emotions first and let them lead you through a series of questions that help you unfold the story.
What does that feeling remind you of?
Were there any other times in your life that you felt this way?
Is this a pattern of feeling or experience that comes up under certain circumstances?
What is this dream potentially showing you about this pattern that you’re not seeing in waking life? What do you feel it wants you to know?
Did the experience that caused the emotion remind you of any time in your past or specifically childhood?
For the Analysis portion, here are some examples of questions to consider and ask yourself:
